Design

In 1935, Boeing developed configurations of aircraft based on the Boeing XB-15 research in Blended wing body aircraft. Each design was a "tailless" configuration of existing models with a flying wing layout. These featured extended trailing aileron/elevators, that could perform their function without disrupting the wing performance.[2] The wing was swept 35 degrees. Each design featured tricycle landing gear as a feature when taildragger configurations were the standard of the time.[3]

Variants

A heavy bomber with a close resemblance to the Boeing XB-15 using Allison V-1710 engines.

A flying boat with a fuselage similar to the Boeing 314 using Allison V-1710 engines.

A airliner with four Pratt & Whitney S1EG Hornet radials paired in a push-pull configuration.
